I always look at people working in the artisan food industry with a certain sense of nostalgia, having been a cheesemonger for several years myself - photographic evidence of which is buried here on my old blog. There are few more passionate, interesting and motivated people than these people, engaging in the work they do with a real pride and interest in keeping a precarious craft alive. I miss this work, I miss these people.
